Abstract
In the present study, we investigated the effects of SDS(Sodium dodecyl sulphate)-induced skin irritation on the components of the skin of the Korean woman using Raman spectroscopy. Occlusive patch test of 1% SDS for 24 hours was induced skin irritation and increased transepidermal water loss (TEWL) of 142% and erythema of 61.5% compared to before application, In addition, it was temporarily increases the water content of the skin and reduction of skin thickness, as well as change in skin components such as increase in the NMF, Keratin, and reduction in tUCA_pH4 Ceramide3. The results of this study are considered to be a study to establish a basis for the accuracy and reproducibility data for the skin component analysis of the Raman spectroscopy.
